We would like to invite you to a unique “ELT + IT” Conference, sponsored by the U.S. Embassy in Lima, and supported by the University of San Ignacio de Loyola. During a one-day conference on Saturday, March 3, 2012, Lewis & Clark College Professor Michael Krauss along with colleagues from Peru, Bolivia and Ecuador will share new ideas about applying information technology - with an emphasis on Web 2.0 tools - to the English language learning experience.
There is limited space at the event and we ask all interested to confirm their interest by sending:
· Name
· Position
· Institution
· Maximum 50-word statement, in English, of your interest in the intersection of ELT and IT
We will weigh requests largely on the basis of: 1) institutional representation, 2) personal interest in the topic. We ask that you send your request no later than Monday, February 13. Send all information to reloandes@state.gov andvictorhugor@yahoo.com.
The conference will be at the beautiful USIL campus in La Molina. Registration will begin at 8 AM, with the first plenary presentation at 9 AM. The program will conclude in the early afternoon. As there will be plenty of opportunities to interact with like-minded professionals, we hope you bring many questions that can help you as a professional and your institution.
