Mindsets and the Learning Brain
Motivation is, without question, the most complex and challenging issue facing teachers today. (Scheidecker & Freeman 1999).  Although said over a decade ago, this sentiment still remains true for many today. With that in mind, this session aims to examine the role and implications of mindsets in educational settings and will highlight strategies and opportunities to create learning environments that thrive, supporting both student motivation and achievement.projects can be a great source of motivation for English language learners of all levels and ages. This workshop explores some of the key motivating factors of long-term projects and presents some Earth Day project ideas that include all of the components necessary to keep your students thinking, learning and engaged throughout the process.

[ELTeCS_PERU] VII Facebook Event

Dear friends

As every other month since last year, the time has come for another CTS Facebook event.

What makes this event really special is that teachers with different levels of expertise and experience gather to exchange ideas, expand their professional network and learn from each other. We have teachers from public and private institutions, from pre-K teachers to university professors, some even coming from nearby provinces such as Chincha and Huaral. All this diversity makes listening to their comments and contributions a real pleasure.

On Saturday, May 14th we will develop two workshops: Grammar Taught differently and Teaching the HOTS (High Order Thinking Skills). We will take advantage of our meeting to celebrate Mother´s Day and to thank NUTESA for having hosted our events all along.

As usual, there will be presents for all attendees, prizes for Mums and books will be raffled (courtesy of NUTESA). Certificates will be issued and we will end our event as usual, with great satisfaction for the opportunity to learn one from another to become not only better teachers but also better human beings.

We look forward to seeing you there.
