TOEFL iBT Success; Strategies & Tips
The TOEFL iBT (Test of English as a Foreign Language; Internet Based Test) is an English proficiency test produced by an American Company named Educational Testing Service (ETS). It is a test that measures English reading, listening, speaking and writing skills, and a student’s ability to succeed at an English speaking university. More than 8,500 colleges, universities, and agencies in 130 countries accept TOEFL scores, so test takers have the flexibility to use their test scores worldwide. Because it is a difficult test, the more that students can know about the test before it is taken, the better. This webinar on “TOEFL iBT Success; Strategies & Tips” aims to familiarize students with the test and share important strategies and insights so that every participant can prepare effectively, gain confidence, and achieve the highest possible score.
About Ellen
After completing a California Teaching Credential (Multiple Subject) with a Bilingual Certification (Spanish), Ellen stepped into the world of teaching English Learners (ELs) and hasn’t looked back since. Her initiation into ESL began in adult education classrooms, and from there she moved on to teaching middle school students from migrant farm worker families, K-12 students in a high performing public school district, not to mention summer assignments in both for-profit and non-profit language institutes. Her entrance into the ESL arena came after many years of working for local government in the Los Angeles area.
