KEYNOTE SPEAKER: Jorge Aguilar-Sanchez
Dr. Jorge Aguilar-Sánchez is a Ph.D. in Hispanic Linguistics (Indiana University 2009), Ph.D. in TESOL and Applied Linguistics (Indiana University 2009). He is Professor at Department of Global Languages and Cultures at University of Dayton.
He has published several articles in research design, sociolinguistics and teaching methodology. Dr. Aguilar-Sánchez is a native of Costa Rica who enjoys teaching and foreign/second language teacher preparation. His research agenda include a multidisciplinary approach that draws from the fields of Psychology, Second Language Acquisition, Linguistics, Pedagogy, Instructional Systems Technology, and Computer Science. His latest projects include work on sample size planning for sociolinguistics research, student engagement in and outside of the classroom with the aid of technology, instructed second language acquisition and its pedagogical approaches.
