Motivating Learners Through Long-Term Projects Long-term projects can be a great source of motivation for English language learners of all levels and ages. This workshop explores some of the key motivating factors of long-term projects and presents some Earth Day project ideas that include all of the components necessary to keep your students thinking, learning and engaged throughout the process.
Lisa Mann is an English Language Fellow currently based in Piura, northern Peru. She has worked in the field of applied linguistics as a teacher, director of studies, teacher trainer and translator for over 20 years. She holds a Master’s Degree in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages from Portland State University (Oregon, USA) and a Master’s Degree in Translation and Localization from Universitat Rovira i Virgili (Catalonia, Spain). Lisa loves getting together with groups of language teachers and sharing ideas, experiences, triumphs and frustrations, and strives to make her workshops interactive, participative, useful and fun for everyone involved.
