Constructing & Implementing a Peer Coaching Program
This webinar will focus on how create and implement a peer-coaching program that is applicable in a plethora of academic setting. Reseach has shown that the more traditional forms of professional development, such as workshops and conferences, are not as effective because these methods do not focus on collaboration, feedback and reflection, which are necessary in order to effectively improve one's teaching practice. We will share how we have implemented our own coaching and mentoring programs and the importance of creating a trusting community where teachers are respected for their expertise as well as their ability to successfully coach their peers in order to improve instruction and student outcomes on a continuous basis
