ELTeCS_PERU] Fwd: 6 Weeks Training in the U.S., through TEA

Folks,

Fulbright now has information available on the TEA scholarship at http://becas.fulbrightperu.info/becas_tea.php.  In a nutshell, if you are a Peruvian secondary school teacher (public or private) with at least a strong intermediate/upper-intermediate level of English, and have been teaching for at least five years, you qualify.  Finalists will also need to have permission from their school to be in the U.S. for approximately six weeks, and thus potentially away from one’s duties.  With regard to getting permission, we have discussed this important issue with the Ministry of Education and are prepared to bring it up again should any complication arise.  The application deadline is May 13, 2013.

In the past, Fulbright has received very few applicants.  Let’s get word out for this outstanding opportunity!

For those of you outside of Peru who might receive this note, TEA scholarships are also available in Bolivia, Ecuador, Colombia and Venezuela!  Please check US Embassy or local Fulbright websites for more information.

Thanks,
David
