In this webinar, English Language Fellow, Ali Cullerton, Ph.D. will discuss some of the common challenges for English language learners associated pronunciation. Dr. Cullerton will discuss how to help support your English language learners as they navigate the complexities of tone, syntax, phonetics, accents and rhythm. Audience will learn classroom strategies, games and discuss language acquisition.

Who:      Dr. Ali Cullerton, English Language Fellow
Dr. Cullerton is a longtime educator and researcher from Chicago, Illinois. She received her Ph.D. in Education: Literacy, Language and Culture at the University of Illinois at Chicago and is involved in research associated with literacy, language, education and immigration studies. Ali continues to teach, conduct research and work with teachers in order to prepare them for the shifting demographic makeup of youth in the United States and abroad. Dr. Cullerton specializes in teacher training on the themes of language learning and literacy. Cullerton is currently serving as an English Language Fellow with Georgetown University and the State Department at the Centro Ecuatoriano Norteamericano: Global Quality English in Loja, Ecuador. For more information, visit:www.alexiscullerton.com.

Cambridge English Language Assessment invites you to join us for our new webinar: The Cambridge English Scale explained on Monday 26 January 14.00 - 15.00 (UK time*) and Wednesday 28 January 10.00 - 11.00 (UK time*).

The Cambridge English Scale is a new approach to reporting results across the range of Cambridge English exams. Initially, this will apply to Cambridge English: First, First for SchoolsAdvanced andProficiency from January 2015. Other exams will be added to the scale during 2015.

This webinar is for teachers preparing students for Cambridge English exams. It explains the changes we have made to how we report results and the certificate candidates receive. The webinar will focus on the rationale behind the changes and the benefits it provides for candidates and teachers. The presenter will answer any questions relating to the Cambridge English Scale at the end of the session.
