Classroom management is one of the most difficult parts of teaching. It never goes away. Every year a new group of students enters the class and every year the teacher must be prepared to implement strategies to develop motivation, discipline, and respect. This webinar will focus on strategies the teacher should consider before the start of the school year as well as rules, procedures, and routines to establish at the beginning of the year and maintain throughout the year with students.

Webinar on English teaching, organized by the Regional English Language Office for the Andean Region at the U.S Embassy in Lima.

Who:   Pamela Y. Netinho obtained her M.S. degree in the teaching of Language Arts and Reading from Southern Connecticut State University. In her forty year teaching career, she taught English, developmental and remedial reading, and various elective courses in elementary schools, middle schools, and high schools in Connecticut, Guam, and California. Since her retirement, she has served as a volunteer ESL teacher in Saladoblanco, Huila, Colombia; Koltsovo, Siberia, Russian Federation; and Gori, Georgia. She is presently an English Language Fellow with the U.S. Department of State working with the Centro Colombo Americano in Bogota, Colombia.
