How many times have you had to sit through an hour-long in-service training (INSETT) session only to take just one or two useful ideas out of it?

Monday's webinar suggested a move away from ineffective one-size-fits-all models of in-service teacher training and presented evidence-based activities and approaches to CPD that can really make a difference and put us in control of our professional development.

After taking up a CPD opportunity, it often leaves us zinging with enthusiasm at the time, but how much of it actually gets put into practice?

Tuesday's webinar explored what happens when we return to the realities of the classroom and suggested six principles for maintaining the spark of inspiration and enabling appropriate, practical change.

Of the 99 videos from the British Council Seminar Series now found on EnglishAgenda, on a wide variety of ELT topcis, 30 have been selected for their relevance to English language teachers around the world and turned into practical training materials.

Whether you are an English language teacher looking for new ways to refresh your continuing professional development, or if you are a teacher trainer responsible for developing others, watch this webinar to find out more about the first of these brand new materials to be released.

with Dr Richard Smith and Dr Paula Rebolledo
