Get to know some great resources for helping yourself and your students improve their listening and speaking skills by using free online tools. Get your creative juices flowing as you see some examples of successfully designed activities that go along with listening and speaking materials found for free online. In this workshop for English teachers, we will invite participants to think of ways to create their own engaging lessons using tools that will motivate students to improve their listening and speaking skills.
What: Improving Listening and Speaking with Free Online Tools Webinar on English teaching, organized by the Regional English Language Office for the Andean Region at the U.S. Embassy in Lima.
Who: Katie Bain, English Language Fellow Katie Bain has been an English Language Fellow in Barranquilla for almost two years. She works with both the BNC of Barranquilla and Universidad del Norte, conducting English teacher workshops and teaching English classes, among other fun teaching opportunities. She has a M.A. in Reading Education and a B.A. in ESL Education. Prior to working in Barranquilla, Katie taught English and mentored teachers in Baltimore, MD, USA. She enjoys sancocho, ajiaco, salsa music, and drinking coffee from Colombia’s beautiful coffee region.
