Estimado Cesar:
Happy 23rd Birthday, Peru TESOL!
Adjunto te envío su mensaje. Mil gracias por tu ayuda. Saludos.

IATEFL Webinars: Mike McCarthy 22 Feb 15:00 GMT
IATEFLNEWS
Dear Pilar Ferreyros Asociacion Cultural Peruano Britanica
IATEFL Member 3723
Join us for the next IATEFL webinar which will take place this Saturday 22 February at 15:00 GMT.
Mike McCarthy will give us his insights into ‘Spoken Fluency Revisited’.
Mike is well-known for his work on the CANCODE spoken English corpus project, and the one-million word CANBEC spoken business English corpus as well as the English Profile project.
In the webinar Mike will cover the linking of speaking turns to create mutual ‘flow’ and look at the research on determining a learner’s competence and level in spoken interaction based on the CEFR (Common European Framework of Reference). The concept of fluency in interactive speaking is considered to be a ‘fifth skill’ and the webinar aims to give participants a better understanding of what learners know and can do at different levels of language.
Just go to http://www.iatefl.org/webinars for more information on Mike’s presentation and log in details and to see a full list of the exciting webinars we already have lined up for 2014. These webinars are free of charge, open to all and no pre-registration is required.
New titles are always being added to our programme so don’t forget to keep checking back. Don't forget that you can also view all our past webinars in the members' area of the IATEFL website (you'll need your IATEFL membership number and password to login and see these).
Hope to see you on 22 February for the webinar.
Mike McCarthy is Emeritus Professor of Applied Linguistics, University of Nottingham, UK, Adjunct Professor of Applied Linguistics, University of Limerick, Ireland and Visiting Professor in Applied Linguistics at Newcastle University, UK. He is co-director (with Ronald Carter) of the 5-million word CANCODE spoken English corpus project, and the one-million word CANBEC spoken business English corpus. His current research involves the creation and analysis of spoken learner corpora in connection with the English Profile project, with special reference to the development of spoken fluency. He is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts.
