This webinar for English teachers will demonstrate the direct and practical ways to use cognitive, metacognitive, and socio-affective teaching principles in order to connect with students in the classroom. These principles offer a different way to help build student self-esteem, make language concepts simple, and guide students by creating artistic interpretations of the English language. Katie Bain and Carlota Charry will explain how they've successfully used these teaching techniques and show English teachers how to use and adapt these strategies themselves. The speakers will also present the theoretical framework of a program that has been successfully implemented in Barranquilla, Colombia.
