In this launching , the programme was as follows
2.30p.m.3.00p.m.. On site registration.
3.00- 3.20p.m. Opening and launching of Chimbote Chapter Carmen Caceda, Manuel Salas and President and Vice-President of the Chapter Miss Susana Gutierrez (UNS) and Miss Nadia Baca,(UNS) respectively .
4.00p.m. –5.00 What do “sick and tired” and “ladies and gentlemen” have in common? Professor Carmen Caceda –Oregon University-USA- Interactive language awareness session for prospective teachers or teachers who would like to reflect oncollocations!!. Collocation (Lewis, 2000) is an area that needs to be explicitly taught to understand the nuances of English. It is hoped that teacher will become “language detectives” as they explore or are more aware of these language intricacies when teaching or learning English .

6.00 -7.00p.m. Hands –on Christmas Workshop! MAG. Manuel Salas-IATEFL PERU Christmas Chain, Christmas tree with magazines, Christmas wreath, , Christmas wreath, tree and reindeer with hand and foot print, and…making a Christmas sandwich :Reindeer sandwich and Christmas cards! !

7.00-7.45p.m. Celebrating Christmas and welcoming New Year and a new YOU in 2013!!Getting to know each other more, sharing activities, why not in our schools/Institutes while sharing our special Christmas break and toasting to a wonderful professional and personal 2013!!!!

7.45-8.00 Certificates, Intercultural Christmas Resource Pack, Raffle!!
It was a successful event where teachers shared ideas, different educational contexts , made suggestioins and a solid friendship and academic networking was established.
